Overview

AP ENPS Mobile is a news production suite that allows journalists to take their newsroom with them wherever they go. With this app, users can remotely monitor assignments, rundowns, and wires, write and edit stories, upload media, and message co-workers with a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. Any changes made in the newsroom are automatically displayed on the user's device, eliminating the need to refresh the page. The app also includes a Tablet Story Viewer (TSV) that lets anchors and reporters read and edit stories directly from their tablet and stay in sync with rundown and story changes automatically.

The TSV content is cached on the user's device in the event of a connection interruption. AP ENPS Mobile caches user credentials, allowing for quicker login and staying logged in. It is important to note that this app is not the AP Mobile news application, but rather a part of the AP ENPS news production suite. To use this app, an organization must have a properly licensed and configured AP ENPS system with ENPS Mobile v3 or later. The AP ENPS System Administrator will provide server settings and authorize the use of AP ENPS Mobile.

Overall, AP ENPS Mobile is a useful tool for journalists who need to stay connected to their newsroom while on the go. With its ability to remotely monitor assignments, rundowns, and wires, write and edit stories, upload media, and message co-workers, this app allows journalists to work efficiently and effectively from anywhere. The TSV feature is particularly helpful for anchors and reporters who need to read and edit stories directly from their tablet and stay in sync with rundown and story changes automatically.
