The Author CONNECT application is designed to provide vehicle owners with comprehensive remote monitoring, configuration, and security features, primarily focused on vehicles equipped with IGLA anti-theft systems. The application's core functionality revolves around enabling users to remotely monitor critical parameters of their vehicles, manage and configure IGLA anti-theft systems, and implement security measures to prevent theft and unauthorized use. One of the key benefits highlighted is the ability to configure and manage IGLA anti-theft systems directly through the application. This includes customizing security settings, adjusting sensitivity levels, and enabling or disabling various anti-theft features. This level of control allows vehicle owners to tailor the security system to their specific needs and preferences, ensuring optimal protection against potential threats. Furthermore, the application facilitates remote engine start and engine blocking, offering convenience and enhanced security. Remote engine start allows users to warm up their vehicles in advance, particularly useful in cold weather conditions. Engine blocking, on the other hand, serves as a powerful anti-theft measure, enabling users to remotely disable the engine in the event of theft or unauthorized access. This feature can significantly deter thieves and aid in the recovery of stolen vehicles. The ability to set a schedule for engine autostart is another notable feature, allowing users to pre-program the engine to start at specific times, ensuring the vehicle is ready for use when needed. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals with regular commuting schedules or those who require their vehicles to be warmed up before use. Beyond security features, Author CONNECT provides comprehensive remote monitoring capabilities, allowing users to track key vehicle parameters such as engine temperature, mileage, fuel level, and battery power. This real-time data provides valuable insights into the vehicle's condition and performance, enabling users to proactively address potential issues and maintain their vehicles in optimal condition. The application also maintains an event log, recording significant events such as alarm triggers, engine starts, and security system activations. This log provides a detailed history of the vehicle's security status, allowing users to review past events and identify potential security breaches. In addition to security and monitoring features, Author CONNECT also offers practical functionalities such as displaying the vehicle's location and recording trips. The location tracking feature allows users to pinpoint their vehicle's whereabouts at any given time, providing peace of mind and assisting in the recovery of stolen vehicles. The trip recording feature automatically logs all journeys, providing detailed information on routes taken, distances traveled, and driving times. This can be useful for tracking business mileage, optimizing driving routes, and monitoring driver behavior. The application emphasizes that the availability of certain features, such as remote start and engine parameter monitoring, may vary depending on the vehicle's brand, model, and equipment. Users are advised to contact installers or technical support to confirm compatibility and ensure proper functionality. Overall, Author CONNECT aims to provide a comprehensive suite of features designed to enhance vehicle security, convenience, and remote monitoring capabilities, offering vehicle owners greater control and peace of mind.
