Overview

Camera FV-5 is a mobile camera application designed for professional and enthusiast photographers who want to capture high-quality raw photographs and post-process them later. The application offers DSLR-like manual controls, including adjustable photographic parameters such as exposure compensation, ISO, light metering mode, focus mode, white balance, and program mode. It also has a DSLR-like viewfinder display that shows exposure time, aperture, and stops display with EV and bracketing settings in real-time. Other features include full-fledged exposure bracketing, built-in intervalometer, program and speed-priority modes, long exposure support, JPEG, true 16-bit RAW in DNG format, and lossless PNG photo capturing formats.

The application has a powerful organization option that allows different storage locations and fully customizable file names. It also has a user interface available in more than 30 languages. The Lite version of the application is fully functional but has limited picture resolution support. The Pro version unlocks all device resolutions and enables RAW capture (if supported on the device). The application completely avoids scene modes and provides full manual control over all photographic parameters, just like a reflex camera. This allows users to control every aspect of the picture and leave the post-processing to the computer.

If you encounter any bugs while using the application, you can visit the web page or write to [email protected] with your phone model name and the description of the problem before writing a negative comment. Customer satisfaction is a priority, and the team will do their best to fix the issues as soon as possible. To stay up to date with the latest information about current and future development, you can visit the website, be a fan on Facebook, subscribe to Twitter, or watch tutorials on YouTube.

Note that the application requires Android 5.0+ and a fully compliant Camera2 implementation. Currently, it is only available on LG Nexus 5 and Motorola Nexus 6. Long exposure support requires Android 5.0+ and is compatible with Samsung Galaxy Camera (1 and 2), Galaxy S4 Zoom, and HTC One (M8). On Android 4.4 or older, long exposures lower picture resolution to 2 or 1 MP, depending on the model. The reason is explained on the application's FAQ page.
