Overview

Otter is a note-taking app that uses AI to record and transcribe conversations and meetings in real-time. It is available online and can be used for various purposes such as taking meeting notes, recording interviews, lectures, podcasts, videos, webinars, and keynotes. Otter can also provide live captioning for people with accessibility needs. The app allows users to highlight key points, insert photos, and input audio via built-in mic or Bluetooth device.

Otter can enrich notes with AI by punctuating, capitalizing, and breaking paragraphs automatically. It can also identify speakers after some training and generate word clouds and summary keywords. Users can share and collaborate with others by inviting them to view, edit, and highlight collaboratively. Otter allows users to organize conversations into personal folders, copy to clipboard, or share directly into other apps.

The app requires an internet connection and an account to use. Otter takes security and privacy seriously and does not sell or share user data with third parties. Users have full control to delete their data permanently. Otter Pro offers bulk export, more playback speeds, and skip silence. The app has received top honors from Google Play, Mashable, Fast Company, Tom’s Guide, and PCMag.
